majority of people today they don't have a problem with acknowledging that angels are messengers of God that do his work for him and deliver messages but when you elevate them to the status of should you call them Gods that's where people start to have a hard time with it but what they don't understand is the even the word that's used there Elohim it's more of it's a reference for anyone that exists in the Heavenly places
