My beliefs are utterly inconsequential. What matters is an important part of history that has not had its day in the sun. And everyone seems to know it, but also no one seems to be able to teach it. We've done ourselves a double misduty here. But attempting to forget it, it's the same way that if you leave a gap in a piece of paper. You can cut out the piece of paper and then not know was written there, but the gap is still there and you can clearly see it. So what you've just done is just shot yourself in the foot. Uh you've tried to forget it, but the very act of trying to forget it has made sure that you can't.
