Ancient people never made up fictitious geography. Doesn't matter what culture it is. There is no example that I've ever seen or anybody else for that matter where a writer makes up a fictitious geography. There's no such thing as like 5 acre wood or middle earth, that kind of fictitious geography concept in the ancient world. They don't do it.
